Billbob Brown received his BFA in Dance from ASU, and his MA in Dance History from the University of New Mexico. He was the co-founder of Desert Dance Theatre in Phoenix in 1979; the company will be celebrating its 40thAnniversary season this coming year.  He has toured internationally with the Bill Evans Dance Company, and his work as director of Buen Viaje Dancers, a group of people with disabilities, was the subject of an Emmy-Award winning documentary, “Opening Doors.”  He has choreographed, performed, and/or taught in Japan, Switzerland, Mexico, Thailand, London, China, and other places, including Hong Kong, where he served as chair of dance at the Academy for Performing Arts there. He has choreographed TV work for Disney Studios, the Chicago Cubs, Molson-Canadian beer, and others which have won international awards.  He was professor of dance for many years at UMass Amherst, where he served as its director for his last five years there. Billbob has relocated to Tucson, Arizona, where he currently teaches dance, at Alta Vista High School.t
